Encouraging Home Industry.

The Corporation of Berlin announced last year that prizes would be given for the neatest, most durable, and most praotical set of furniture for a small dwelling, consisting of bedroom, sitting room, and kitchen, at a price not exceeding $125, and to be competed for by Berlin cabinet-makers alone. Numerous firms responded, and on the 14th of May a special exhibition was opened by the Crown. Princess, who ex* pressed great satisfaction and astonishment that so many useful things could be furnished at such a price. ,The furniture' is in everyway likely to fulfil the intention of the Corporation in desiring to r make the poor man's home as comfortable as possible.
