A GREETING FROM SCOTCH AND IRISH PRESBYTERIANS.

Bklfast, July sth. — At a reunion here yesterday of the Presbyterians, a committee was appointed to effect a union of the Irish and Scotch Presbyterian Churches. The reunion was most interesting throughout. Rev. Dr. Hall conducted the devotional services, and Sinclair, Justice of the Peace, acted as Chairman. He said it was a proud privilege to preside over such an important and interesting reunion of men from all quarters of the globe claiming Scotch and Irish descent. He eulogised the people of Ulster, and said their descendants in America occupy the highest positions in all the walks of life. The Scotch and liish furnish some of the greatest men of America, such men as Monroe, Jackson, and Arthur. (Cheer?.) The Presbyterian Church of Ameiica was founded by an Ulster man, and to-day hundreds of thousands of Ulstcrites on both sides of the Atlantic are canying on the noble work. The Presbyterian Council devoted part of the sitting on Juno 27th to the consideration of missionary matters. Ministers from various Reformed churches on the continent spoko of the feeling in favour of the cause, and expressed the hope that the Conference would meet in Paris before many years. After Dr. Breed had presented his report the alliance adopted a resolution that the Council was specially gratified at the report, and then approved the efforts made to raise £5,000 in behalf of tho ancient Moravian and Bohemian churches. The Council heard with lively satisfaction the statement of the condition of the churches of Europe and America, and asked in their behalf for the general support and prayers of tho stronger churches of tho alliance.
