WESLEYAN FAREWELL TEA MEETING.

■A social tea meeting of members and teachers was held in the Wesley an Caurcii, Te Aroha, on Monday evening last for the purpose of taking leave of Mr and Mis Hames, of Shaftesbury, who are removing to North S\orc. Mr Hames has laboured earnestly in connection with the Church during his stay among us. While at Owhar >a he established a Sunday School, and since his removal to Shaftesbury he has also laboured with Mrs Hames and others in the same good work. Mr Hames has also displayed commendable zeal as a lay reader, walking from Shaftesbury to Te Aroha and to other parts of the ciicuit to take his appointments on the Sabbath. It was felt lhat some mark of appreciation should be accorded to him by the church. The meeting was hearty, and all seemed to enjoy tiiemfeelves thoroughly, the only telling of regret was that our friends were leaving us.
