The marriage of Princess Elizabeth of Hesso, to Prince LeopoH, heir to the throne, took place on the 26th May Prince William of Prussia and other dignitaries were present. The Grand Duke Louis of Hesse persists in his demand for a legal separation from Mdme. yon Kolemine. The latter has referred her claims to the Hessian Minister from Darmstadt. Popular opposition to the bill increasing taxes on the Bourse and other financial operations is very great. Protests hare been sent in from all parts of Germany, and on the 2Sth the Chambers of Commerce throughout the country passed a resolution formally objecting to the proposed measure. The Emperor in person conducted the annual spring review of treops at Berlin on May 28th. He appeared on horseback. The Czarina, the Queen of Denmark, and the Princess of Wales visited the Empress Augusta at Baden Baden the same day. Dr. Stronsburg, the well-known financier of Berlin, is dead.
