THE OAKS.

Bairds bay filly Busybody won the three-year-old fillies' race on May 30th. After several false starts all got off on fairly even terms. Queen Adelaide led tor 200 yards, when Kinfauns took a slight lead, Wild Shot and Superba right behind. At the furzes, Pinta and Legacy passed Kinfauns, Quilt fourth, Queen Adelaide and Wild Shot next. At the mile post, Wild Shot took third place, with Busybody close behind. Rounding Tattenham corner Busybody drew to the front, Queen Adelaide and Superba following. After Busybody had shaken Queen Adelaide off, the former was challenged by buperba, but Busybody always had the be&t of the struggle. Wild Shot came in fourth, Quilt and Kinfauns next, while Pinta finished last. Busybody won by half-a-length, Superba a length before Queen Adelaide. The weather was delightful, and there was a large and fashionable audience. The Earl of Aylesford, who is a large landowner in America, got into trouble with an employ^ of the course on Derby Day, was thrown heavily to the ground, and had his leg broken in two places. The Manchester Cup was won on June sth by Hammond's filly, Florence ; Newburgh's colt, Robertson, second ; Manton's mare, Carrie Pvoy, third. There were eighteen starters.
