Alexander, the 11th Earl of Sutherland (from whom the Dukes are descended), took for his second wife Jean, third daughter of Qeorge-, 4th Ear] of Huntly, who was the divorced wife of James, Earl of Bothwell, who was husband of Mary, Queen of Scots.
