LoM'O.n, May 30. —Tenders for the Queensland 4 per cent, loan of two millions six hundiud and seventy thousand poundwere opened to day, the amount was more than covered, theie being an immense number of tenders. A thousand tenders Mere received for the Queensland loan, amounting in the agiriegate to nearly nine million pounds. Tenders at ninety-nine pounds eight shillings will receive 40 pa cent., and those above that price in full.

At a meeting of the Sue/ Canal Company, the arrangements, concluded between Baion de Les-eps and the repie-entative& of the Engli-h ship-owners were formally approved. Sir Gavin Duffy has announced hi- intention of publishing a seiie* of papers on the lines of "The Young Ireland Party." He considers the present National movement too selfish, and urges a revival of the College Green Parliament as it existed prior to the union. It is likely that he will start a newspaper in Dublin with the object of Dlacintr his views before the public.

Loxdom, May 30. — Tenders for tnc Queensland loan of £2,670,000, bearing interest of i per cent., the minimum being fixed at 98, were opened to-day. The tenders were found to amount to a total of £9,000,000. Tenders at £99 S.s will receive 40 per cent. Tenders above that price receives in full.
Lo.ndox, May 30.— The prospectus of a new Oriental Bank has been issued. The capital of the institution will be two millions sterling. The cricket match, Australians v. Gentle men of England, was resumed to-day, the following being the position at the close of the day's play : — Gentlemen, first innings, 277. London, May 31.— The third series of colonial wool auctions will commence on August 12th, and the fourth series on November 10th. The cricket match was resumed and concluded at Lords to-day. The home team l hawng eno wicket down for 15, and requirrtV ing 128 to win the match, put together that number with the loss of only 6 wicket?, thus winning by 4 wickets. In the second inning's of the Gentlemen of England, the highest scorers were : —Grace, c, 20 ; Reid, c, 27 ; Steel, not out, 35 ; and Diver, not out, 22.

Loxijov, June I.— A disastrous fire occurred last night in Glasgow, when the Tramway Company:-* .stables were totally destroyed, and over two hundred horses burned to death.
London, June 1. — The inhabitants oi Cayenne have petitioned M, Ferry not to send recidh istes there, and it is believed that the Government will withdraw the bill, or at least insert provisions which will cause its rejection. The Senate Committee has reported upon it, but the tenor of the report is unknown. The Sorata has arrived with her meat in excellent condition.
