! Melbourne, May 3. The Victorian Amateur Turf Club has raised the added money for the Caulfield Cup to £2,000, with £400 for the second, and £200 for the third horse.
An hotelkeeper at Geelong, advertising his " Burton XXXX," concludes in the following manner : " N.B.— Parties drinking more than four glasses of this potent beverage at one sitting carefully sent home gratis in a wheelbarrow, if required."
