Rumours are current hore that^SirWm. Ja'vois will receive the appointment of Governor of Victoria; that Sir William Robinson, Governor of South Australia, will succeed Sir Win, Jervois in New Zealand, and that Major-General Scratchley will be appointed to South Australia.
