The first day's racing of the Victoria Racing Club's Autumn Meeting took place to-day at Fleniington. MartiniHenry led past the stand the first time round, and at the river turn had increased his advantage to six lengths, Off Colour being his nearest attendant. Entering the straight, the son of Musket was still in command of affairs, and eventually cantered home hard held in front of his opponents. Time, 3mins. 2-i^secs. Newmarket Handicap, a handicap sweepstakes of 20sovs. each, with 300 added. For 3 years old and upwards The second horse to receive oOsovs., and the third 20sovs. out of the stakes. At the straight Claptrap and Le Grand emerged from the crowd, and getting past Segenhoe, •nho was running in second place, endeavoured to get on terms with Malua.
