The Battehy. — The berdans at the battery are still at work on tiili»:;s from the New Find, Pieinkr, and Colonist m.nes. Each company h»s four berdans going. The New Find tailings are believed by the manager to be shaping for two on n cms per load, and the Promiar ;md Colonist an ounce to the load each. The Xow Find has between 200 and. 300 tons to go through. Alphabet. — Mr John Goldsworthy, the manager, invites tenders in this issue for driving a. contract in the Moa No. 2 License. PHO2NJX. —Tiiis mine, one of the few remaining at work, continues to meet with most encouraging prospects. It will bo remembered that when the mine was first prospected the outcrop of ?i largo lode was discovered showing gola.
