A special meeting of the Borough Council was called this afternoon, to consider the suspension of Mr Mason, holder of several municipal appointments, who was relieved from duty by the Town Clerk, in consequence of the assault which he was punished by the local Court. The meeting, however, lapsed owing to nn informality in convening it. The Moanatairi directors have agreed to concede to the strikers, the additional sixpence per day, and those who have not found employment elsewhere, have accepted the terms and resumed duty.
