Both Mr and Mrs Marsden aie successful an r i clfijient tjiichcr.-.. lie formerly taught in Mount Kdon school, Auckland, and the public school, Whano-nroi. The Board propose to appoint as teacher at W.iio-rong-omai school ; Mr Edmund G. Purdie now employed as teacher of the half time schools at Uikurangi and Utonga, new Whan»ar.'i. The committee unanimously resolved to leave both sippointmonts entirely in the hands of the Board, without ofLu-ing' any suggestions. We would add th.it W-iioron^t/inai must certainly consider its interests well attended to, when the Board propose to send them so high a class teacher as Mr Purdie, who is classified by examination for a certificate of class D. lie was trained in the Auckland Training Uollege, and is styled " a very efficient teacher " by the Board. Mr W. T.
