Full nuny thioiioh che Gourthad sped : And lie, by horrid dun« oppreshed, Wished he'd been whitewashed with the rest i No u-<ire, with in hand, He at the Comer talced his stand ; Ko loniifj it tljtit Uouio of jest He chuff-- <nd haul -r* with the rest, And, siuilin^, snaies from day to day His unsophisticated piey. *Those timos are eliau^ed, those greenhorns gone — The Caledonian days are done ; In vain he all expedients tries, In the fond hope to make a rise.
