A PPLICATION has been made to me t\ by PKTEII FEIiGrUSON for permission to Construct a Water liace for Mining Purpose*, coniinsnoin^ 1 at a point markfd bv a peg on a tributary of the Waiorongom.ii Creek, near the Prince Imperial Claim ; and ;it a point marked by a peg on a tributary of tho Waiorongomni Creuk nc.r the Argyll- Claim, and converging from both points towards a peg near a branch creek on the Phoonix Claim, the termination of the Ittico ; Race to include all streams <iikJ tributaries between the points mentioned. The length of such Race is one niilo, and its intended course is north and south. The mean breadth and depr.li of such Race is Two Feet by One Foot, and it is capable of carrying 4 Sluice Ilcad.s.of Water, and the number oi ftluii-o Hi-aris which it is intended to appropriate is Four.
