THE TE AHOHA JOCKEY CLUB SPRING MEETING.
Mr P.ivitt, the energetic Secretory of the Club, accompanied l)y Mr .Bradley, made an inspection of the course marked off the distance^, erected poles, and Jaid off the new steeplechase course, the fences ;md other jump*!. The local horses returned on Thursday night from Can: bridge. Welcome Davy, and .ledwater, both in care of Mr Brennan. Larry and Robert (he Devil are expected this morning. We have not received the acceptances, hut the list of nominations justify the expectation of good fields, while the handicapping appears lo give general satisfaction. The Cambridge horse Rewi does not accept for the G-oldiield Handicap, for which Welcome Davy and Victory have a show. For the Styeplecha.se (led water and Chandler are fancied in the order named. The following 1 is the list of entries.
