Co.—The No, 2 reef is being driven on both ways from the crosscut. The lode is fully four feet showing gold freely thronghout, the charactes of the quartz being all that could be desired. Werahiko and Waitoki G. M. Co. — Quai tz from these mines was being sent to the battery, on Thursday and yesterday. Vulcan G. M. Co.—The manager early last week, broke some stone from the cap of a reef showing strong dabs of gold, the chai acter of quartz and gold resembling the Premier in appearance. WiiioHMigoniai G. M. Co.—The manager still eontiMie- chiving on the reef, which maintains its bi/.i- on being driven on 4ft), and curies a good hanging wall. On bieaking down the reef on Thursday a quantity of nice stone showing g-ild iiet-ly ciime to h.nd. Ari/orui <'. M. Co.— Some quartz broken \ i'um a-strong reef in this ground showed nice patches of gold. Energetic prospecting ia being carried t>n. Phoenix G. M. C. —We saw some good stone from a leader cut alongside the tramway.
