nijicliinery permanently established in New Zealand of first 1000 gallons of linseed oil of good marketable quality, I irom linsefd grown in the colony ; £500 for iii-bt 25 tons of butter, or 50 tons of cheese (produced in one factory) which shall be exported from New Zealand and sold at a prico in foreign markets as shall show the article to be of fair quality ; £300 for first 50 tons of starcli manufactured in I the colony, which shall be shippwd to Knglish markets, and for which satisfactory certificates shall be given that tho slarch is of good quality ; for production of first 50 tons of printing paper m ide bv machinery permanently established in the colony, the bonus to be paid on first bona fide sale of paper. Conditions are that intention to claim bonus must be made before 31st December, 1883, and claim must be made before 30th June, 1884. Auckland, Last Night. The Mataura's cargo of meat was insured in the New Zealand Insurance Co. for £10,026, of which £7026 was reinsured in various other Colonial offices. Only about one-third of the cargo is damaged, so that the loss is not so serious as w.is at first feared, and is besides well distributed.
