For the past three months the thing has assumed a different aspect, and' the result of well-directed energy is everywhere to be seen. Mr Adams reports : — During the past vvek i\ve hav6 laid the raj Is and ballasted the 'line up the Queen of the May Spur. We have laid the railb from the Moa to the Inverness mines, finished brake frame on top of Butler's Spjuy and finished, the tunnel at the Premier end of the line. The bridge will be completed by Wednes'diy. Laying the rails from the top of the Queen of th<» Hay Spur to the Premier will be' started on Monday. Castings are (fixed! on the Fern Spur brake, and the line to the W'jrahiko completed tins afternoon. Ballasting the line from the top of Butler's Spur is being- proceeded with, also the erection of tbu Queen of tbe May brake gear. Thirty-six trucks are ready.
