Bull from the Thames gave a very' instructive addrfrw, referring to the temperance movement at the Thames,' w!hefe*tnreeli>rH* our hundred have recently put-on4se blue ribbon. The authority for adopting this was shown" in the Bible, and he said that those who take the pledge and put it on acknowledged thereby that they look to God for strength and graco to enable them 'to keep the same. He expressed his' great gratification at ' seeing Mr Ashby, v as of • old, actively engaged in promoting the good of others. The J Rev. G. T. Marshall also gave an interesting address, particularly directing attention to the fact, which too often appears:- to be lost sight $pi, that there are two kinds of wine referred to in Scripture — fermented, and nnfermented. The one, as being simply the pure juice of the gn»pe, was approved of : the other, which producer intoxication, was strongly condemned.
