COMMERCIAL.
Mr J. S Buckland held his usual monthly sale at the Waitoa and Waihou yards on Thursday last. There was a fair attendance of buyers, and the vroathor was everything that could be desired. Sixty-nine he,id of cattle were yarded, and twenty -two fat sheep and three horses. The following were the pricofl obtained : —Springing cows, L 5 17s 6d to L 7 10b. Store cattle in low condition; heifers, from L 35« to L 2. Two-year-old steers, from L 2 2s 6d to, L 3. Medium draught horans, L'2l'. For sheep there were no buyers. The prices obtained were considered very satisfactory. MrG-. S. O'Halloran, auctioneer, Te Aroha, reports:— The sale on Saturday, 9th, was well attended. Vb'aties, local, 4s 6d per cwt ; Hobaft, 6s 6d ; marrows, assorted, 2s Id to 2s 3d per owt; fowls, according to quality, 3s to 4a 2d per pair ; ducks, 4s to 4a' 6d per pair. Fruit ■ and ornamental trees fetched reasonable 1 prices, but the supply is at present greater than the demand. \
