The doctor decided that as the result of an attack of gastritis he is not fit to stand the strain, and Park will re. place him. There is jf possibility of Mailey having to stand out owing to an injury to his bowling arm, which was yesterday much swollen and inflamed. He is undergoing massage treatment, and it is questionable if* he will be able to use his arm in an early stage of the match. In the event of his not being sufficiently recovered to take his place in the team, the selectors will meet ( this morning and : choose another Bowler before the captanis toss, when the rules require that they must ex. change the names of the eleven and of the twelfth man.
