VALEDICTORY.
PRESENTATION TO MR AND MRS GOLDSBURY. A pleasant little ceremony took place on the Utiku Tennis Court on Wednesday afternoon. Tie occasion was taken advantage of by the Club to say farewell to Mr and Mrs Goldsbury, who are leaving eately next week fox their new home in WanganuL ' Mr C. S. Arthur, as President of the Club in a happy speech, (referred to the great regret they all felt at losing such energetic members as both Mr and Mrs ’ Goldsbury were. On behalf of the Club, he asked them to accept a small token in the shape of a lovely silver and rose fruit dish, and wished them the best of luck and happiness in their new sphere of labour. It <is Mr Goldsbury’s intention to conduct a private Boarding School on St. John’s Hill, Wanganui. In returning thanks Mr Goldsbury expressed their very great regret in severing their connection with the Club, but hoped to keep in touch with their movements always. The singing of “They aba jolly good fellows” brought a pleasant little function to a close.
