MONTHLY MEETING. The monthly meeting' of tlie Wellington Land Board was held on 'Wednesday, *'the ‘.Commissioned of brown Lands (Mr G. H. M. McClure) presiding. Other members present were: Mess'rs J. Dawson, H. T. Ellingham, J. Gcorgetti, and C. McIntyre. Applications for fee-simple were granted as follows: Section 137, Township of Raetihji, 1 rood, Ada Julia Harris to Charles Cecil Nation; section 271, Rastihi Suburban, 1 acre, Augustine Thomas May to Harold Good. TRANSFERS. The Board approved of the following transfers: Section 8, block 15,. Maungakaretu S.D., 199 a3r 39p, George Stephen Mortley to Frderiek Ward. Section 181, block 13, Puketod S.D., 51a Or lOp, the 'Public Trustee (as administator estate S. J. P. Alpass fl deceased, to Charles Arthur Dickens. MISCELLANEOUS. Section 100, block 5, Waiohino S.D., 245 acres. The Education lease over the above section, held by Mr F. L. Behrent, expires on December 31st; 1920. —It was resolved to offer the lessee a new lease for a term of 21 years from January Ist, 1921, at a rental of £ll 2/6 per annum, with perpetual right of renewal for successive terms of 21 years. Sections 4a and 33, block 3, Mangaone S.D., 457 a2r Op. Mr John ATgie. whose Education lease over the above sections' expires on December 21st 1920, applied for a renewal. It was resolved to offer the lessee a new lease for a term of 14 years from January Ist, 1921, at a rental of £2OO 2/ per annum, with perpetual right of renewal. ;

A plan was submitted of 79 lots in the township of Tangimoana, which has been surveyed for the purpose of providing residental areas for a seaside resolrt at the mouth of the Eangitikei river. It was resolved to offer the’ sections for renewable lease as provided by setlon 124, subsection 2 (b) of the Land Act, 1908, at rentals of 5 per cent on the capital values stated in the schedule on records 8/168, these Sections having im provements thereon to be weighted with the valuation of such (improvements. No lessee to hold more- than one allotment, except in the case of sections 9 and 10, where a cottage is built on both sections and owned by two persons.
