THE KING’S • BESSIE BARKIS GALE IN "THE WHITE LIE.” On Thursday evening the patrons at the Kings will have an opportunity of seeing Bessie Barriscale in a role that fits her like a glove. It is as the title “The White Lie*” implies a ‘ story of an insignificant lie. that grew into a mountain of terror. It introduces a murder mystery so profound that the keenest picture fan cannot fathom the mystery till the end of the play. The excellent opportunities offered by the intense situations for remarkable character acting are fully acquired by the actors and actress in the play consequently till the last of the picture fades away one sits hypnotised and absorbed in the depths of the story. <*.
