THE FATE OP THORN, j SENTENCE TO BE CARRIED OUT. AUCKLAND, Dec. 13. . A meeting of the Executive Council was held this afternoon at Government House, Auckland, to consider the sentence of death passed upon Samuel John Thorn for the murder of Sydney Seymour Eyre, at Pukekawa on August 24 last. The decision arrived at was "That the GovernorGeneral sees no reason to interfere with the sentence (passed on the prisoner.' '
