TRIBUTE TO ROTORUA.

A remarkable testimonial to the excellence of the Government establishment at Eotorua '' has been recelv•ed by Dr.' Duncan, of Eotorua, in a letter from Dr. T. Ross Macdonald, physician to the Duks of Connaught, who has recently been visiting the thermal district. "I have spent several weeks at nearly all the spas in Europe," writes Dr. Macdonald, I "but I have never seen anything to i equal Eotorua. Its excellent bath- ! ing establishment wiith its compete- ! noss of balneological outfit and the variety of its mineral waters, completely eclipse any other baths in existence. I came to Eotorua with '. the intention of spending two days, , but I became so fascinated with the ' place, its natural beauties, its expedient fishing, and the wonderful i,potency of its mineral waters, that my visit has extended into weeks instead of days." Dr. Macdonald suggests the building of a first-class hotel in the grands, where patients could be under supervision, and he also mentions that the state of the roads detracts from the comfort of motoring visitors, but, he adds: "Notwithstanding the latter defect, you have here the finest bathing establishment in the world, unequalled by any other that I have seen, or shall ever see."
