TOWN HALL. TO-NIGHT. “T’OTHER DEAR CHARMER.” The */ golden girl of the screen,” Louise Huff, has the stellar role in the World feature, “T’other Dear Charmer, ’ ’ which will be screened at the Town Hall to-night. It is the story that everyone will like, and particularly fits the dainty personality of the lovable star. The story is immensely amusing; the hero, played by handsome John Bowers, proposes to two girl's, and each accepts him. His discomfiture can 'he imagined when he finds they are the one and the same girl—and she sees that he suffers duly for his perfidy. ..The play abounds with laughter and Tove>—altogether one of the most delightful comedies presented for many a day. TAIHAPE ATHLETIC CLUB. ANNUAL SPORTS MEETING. The annual sports meeting of the Taihape Athletic Club will .be held on the Recreation Ground on Saturday, Ist January, 1921. A first-class programme has been prepared, special train arrangements have been made, and exceptionally good prizes are being offered. Given fine weather, the success of the gathering should be assured, and those who have been considering how they will spend their holidays will be well advised to set apart New Year ’s -Day for a visit to the sports. The athletic, chopping, and other events on the programme should provide very keen competition, and all visitors will be well satisfied with U'<ur 'biy’c outinar. competitors should apply to Mr A. M. Ryan, the secretary, for programmes.
