SINN FEIN IN ENGLAND.
BOMB EXPLOSION IN LONDON. * LONDON, Nov. 30. An incandiary bomb, set with a time fuse, and placed in a portmanteau, exploded at one o’clock this morning. It wrecked a dried skin warehouse in Upper Thames Street, Loudon. There were no casualties. I Received 11 a.m. LONDON, Nov. 30. The wrecked skin warehouse ‘is a building situated in Old Swan .Lane, close to the Thames. The fire was ' soon extinguished, and the police’picketed all the streets 8 in the neighbourhood. The explosion is attributed to Irishmen, but the police decline to express any opinion.
, PRECAUTIONS IN GLASGOW. Received 9.50 a.m. LONDON, Nov. 30. The Glasgow autti>ri*cs**aVe eiabor? ately prepared for a possible Sinn Fein outbreak. Special police guards are posted on the docks and all public buildings, as a powerful Sinu Fein body exists in Glasgow and throughout Clydesdale, where they have frequently been seen drilling. Southampton is also taking precautions for the safety of the docks and -shipping.
A PLOT MISCARRIED. Received 9.40 a.m. << LONDON, Nov. 30. A curious episode occurred in the House of Commons. " Two or three members of the House, who had been active in putting the, Sinn Fein point of view before the British public, rereceived letters warning tbe not to attend the House of Commons yesterday. The inference drawn is that Sinn Fein had planned outrages, but were fo leu by the Government’s precautions. The incident recalls that Lord Monteagle, a Catholic peer, was warned not to attend Parliament on sth Novemner, 1605.
