PURSUANT to the provisions of “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913,” the Raugitikei County Council hereby gives public notice , that. such Council proposes to raise a Special Loan of £40,000. . (a) The particular purpose for which the loan is required is the construction of a; public work within the Erewhon Riding of the Rangitlkei County and comprises the formation of roads the metalling' of roads for the, first time, the erection of a bridge over the Rangitikei River on the Moa--whan go-Napier Road, the erection of a bridge over the same river on tho Matawhe.ro Road and the acquiring of machinery and plant necessary tor the carrying out of such public wont.

j (b) The sum proposed to be borrowed for such purpose is £40,000. | (c) lu order to provide for the ro- [ Payment of the loan it is proposed to | set aside annually a sinking fund os • O ne psr centum of the amount of the loan, and in order to secure such sink- : ing fund together with the interest and all other charges payable* in re»pect of such loan, it is proposed to j make and levy an annuai recurring special rate of One Penny and onei fourth of a penny (l|d) in the pound ' sterling upon the rateable value (on the basis of the capital value) of all rateable property situate within the j Erewhon Riding of the Rangitikei ' County.
