PALMERSTON N., Nov.'29. . Thomas Martin, described as a labourer, was arrested at Palmerston and brought s before Magistrate Stout cahr g ed with having, on about 9th November, attempted to influence by a bribe a juryman named Angus Duncan Campbell in his conduct as such juryman in a case King v. F. S. Easton. In requesting a remand, Detective Quirke 'said the accused.: had been arrested only a few minutes prior to being brought before the Courr and there would be two other = similar charges preferred against him. A remand was granted for one week, bail being allowed, self in £2OO and two sureties of £IOO each. Charges have since been laid against. Martin of allegedly having attempted to bribe Charles William Fuller, Edward Gilshnan, and John Kosanowski.
