AMUSEMENTS.
PICTURE NOTES. 0 By The Film Fiend. Little Eve Edgarton now showing at the Town Hall is full of big surprises. Its settings are gorgeous, its acting exceptional; its plot novel; its right off the beaten track. Charlie Chaplin's next feature "A Day's Pleasure" is all about a Ford car. Its a whole lunch of fun at the expense of "Tin Lizzy.' You can't a 'Ford'*' to miss it. "Dick Carson Wins Through." That sounds like a Yankee picture, but its not, its an all-British Hepworth with Chrissie White and Harry Edwards in the lead. Its at the Town Hall Wednesday and Thursday. Hals Hamilton in his "Metro?' success "The Four Flusher" will be seen in Taihape shortly. Its a powerful story of the Stock Exchange. "Quinneys" from the book of Horace Aunesley Vachell, is a Samuelson British production. It is a super-feature 8000 ft" and stars that ever-popular actor "Henry Ainley," who made such a hit in "The Prisoner Zenda" a few years ago: we welcome him back to the screen. "Tother Dear Charmer" (Louisa Huff) s sa<j to De a marvellous example of dual role parts. "Betty Campion''' who made such, an appeal in "The Miracle Man" will be seen in her next production "The Devil's Trail" shortly. Speaking of 'The Miracle Manf" reminds me of that glorious singer o? old-fashioned songs, who rendered "Sweet Spirit Hear My Prayer" (Madame Mortinengo). will be here again shortly. It will be hard to find a seat that night. Allan Doone the popular Irish .actor will be seen here shortly in "The Rebel."
