Formerly a captain in the .Royal Ar; tillery, ■ Henry Collins, alias Stuart Scott, 76 years old, was committed .for trial by the Westminster magistrate for jewel robberies. . ~. -j'vj ,n It was said that Collins, who had forfeited a pension of £2OO a year, was first convicted in 1903 for forgery, and Jiad since undergone several terms of penal servitude. ; , In the present instances he had answered advertisements of furnished flats to let, and when being shown over the premises seized any opportunity to steal jewellery from bedrooms. |
