ALLEGED PROFITEERING.

WELLINGTON, Nov. 23. At the Magistrates Court to-day, Mr Evans, S.M., was again occupied hearing charges of profiteering laid by the Board of Trade against Wellington wholesale firms in connection with the sake of tweed suitings. The Magistrate reserved decision in cases against Bing Harris and Co. and Robert Wilson and Co. Counsel for the prosecution then announced that they had bieen instructed by the Board Os Trade to withdraw informations against R. Jamieson and Co. and kliller and Ahearn because the firms named had satisfied the Board that the cost on replacement would ble el--1 most as much, if not quite as xnpeh, ! as the price at which they had sold i to the tailors.
