PURSUANT to the provisions of “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913,” the Rangitikei County Council hereby gives public notice that such Council proposes to raise a Special Loan of £40,0001 (a) The particular purpose for whiph the loan is required is the construction of a public work within the Erowhon Riding of the Rangitikei County .and comprises, the , formation of roads the metalling of roads for the first time, the erection of a bridge over the Rangitikei on the Moa-whango-Napier Road, the erection of a bridge over the same river on tho Matawhero Road and the acquiring of machinery and plant necessary tor the carrying out of such public wont. (b) The sum proposed to be borrowed for such purpose is £40,000. (c) In order to provide for the repayment of the loan it is proposed toset aside annually a sinking fund or One per centum of the amount of the loan, and in. order to secure such sinking fund together with the interest and all ether charges payable in respect of such loan, it is proposed to make and levy an annual recurring special rate of One Penny and onefourth of a penny (l|d) in the pound sterling upon the rateable value (on the basis of the capital value) of all rateable property situate within the Erewhon Riding of the Rangitikei County.
