FIGHTING IN DUBLIN.
RAIDS LEAD TO FIERCE BATTLE Received 10.30 a.m. LONDON, Nov. 21.
The authorities state that the raids in Dublin began on ISaturdajf wi)th visits to one or two factories, leading up to several arrests. The Republican Volunteers, operating on the southern sidet of .rthe city, fiercely attacked the "black and tans" this morning. The victims of the Morehampton Road shooting were, suspected of being secret service men, and were killed in their beds. While the shooting as in progress in Mount Street, where two exofficers were killed, a lorry load of "black and tans", who were passing, heard cries for help. <A fierce battle witb the Republican Volunteers followed. Two "black and tans" were killed, and several volunteers were wounded. ALLEGED KIDNAPPING,--LONDON, Nov. 20.
In the House of Commons, Mr. Devlin asked for information regarding the alleged kidnapping of Father Griffin in Galway. Sir Hamar Greenwood said he refused to believe the military or police were responsible. It appeared to be a case of local revenge, as Father Griffin's extreme Sinn Feinism had raised enemies among local Nationalists.
