(MEMBERS’ SALARIES. Received 9.20 a.m. SYDNEY, This day. A Royal Commission which is inquiring into Parliamentarians’ salaries has concluded the taking of evidence, the hulk of which suggested that members of Parliament should receive at least £IOOO and the Premier £ 8000 annually.
TAXATION COMMISSION. MELBOURNE, This day. Before the Taxation Commission, a representative of a , leading British firm gave evidence that British investors were withdrawing capital from Australia because of the double taxation.
