SUICIDE. ' WELLINGTLON, This day, Early this morning JEJubin "Dobsbn, aged 45, a tailor, suicided by cutting his throat with a razor. Yesterday he did not appear normal, and a doctor was cafled in and prescribed for him. His wife was awakened by his falling but of bed, and found hinTlm the floor with his throat gashed. >He died immediately. Deceased-leaves a widow and six isons.

ACCIDENT ENDS FATALLY. HAMILTON, This day. Mr, W. Gruar, a prominent business man-and* Borough Councillorj .died yesterday as the result of a motor accident a week ago. Mr Gruar, who was also seriously injured, is progressing favourably.

BODY ON A MUDBANK. WANGANTJI, Nov. 13. , It having been reported to the police tliat a man's body had been seen floating in- the river near Languar<j Bluffy Constables Grander and O/Donoghue set out on Thursday evening. They had a trying tfme~"bw!hg to the wind blowing. The body was seen inshore on a mudbank. One or the constables proposed wading after it. His companion, however, took the precaution of sounding with an oar the mudbank, and he found it to be simi-liquid, of a depth of anything up to ten feet, The police had to return, and the search was continued yesterday, without success.

WANGANUI, This Day. The body of a man, which was sseu a couple of days ago in the river near Landguard Bluff, was recovered yesterday by Constables J. McMullan and E. Wilson at Putiki and removed to the Morgue. Subsequently it was identified as the body~of John McLean, aged about 36, a Bushman by occupation.

KNOCKED DQWN BY TRAIN. AUCKLAND, Nov. U. A woman named Margaret Allen was picked up severely injured near the entrance to Parnell tunnel early this morning. It i.s presumed she was knocked down by a passing train. Her condition is very serious.- No further particulars of the accident finv<> been obtained.
