TAIHAPE ASSOCIATION. j : « A meeting of the Taihape Cricket Association was held on Saturday evening, when there were present; Messrs W. Bennett, "J. Gilchrist, J. MorMand, M. Goldsbury, If. Bentlcy, and J. Etevcneaux, The following officers were elected:—Patron, Mr W. Gltenn, M.P.; President, Mr A. Lawson; Vice-Pre-sidents, Mr E. W. Smith, M.P.. Drs. Sinclair. Hay, and McDiarmid. and Messrs -A. James, A. J. Joblin. J. Whittle, and. Jas Smith; "auditor, Mr A. M. Ryan; Secretary, Mr J. Eteveneaux; Management Committee, delegates of the various clubs. Nominations were received from the following: Taihape. Club (these teams), Civil Service (two Jfceatos),
Utiku Club (one team). The entrance fee was fixed at £1 I/" per team, with a ground fee of sixpence per member. It was decided that one-day matcnes be played, points to count as follows: Straight-out win, 3; first innings win, 2; drawn game, 1. All matches are to start at 2 p.m., or earlier by arrangement,' and time limit fixed at 6.30 p.m. All players are to be registered. Each club will be asked to nominate umpires. It was decided that only leatner balls be used in match games with the right to call for a new ball on commencing an innings. It was decided that a Thursday and Saturday competition be played, antf the draw, resulted as.follows:
