SEARCH FOB THE JUBILEE. WELLINGTON, Nov. 9. On behalf of the relatives of passengers and,the crew bf the missingschooner Jubilee, Mr. V. CH. Potter asked what steps the Government were taking to locate the vessel. Mr. Massey referred to the unsuccessful search of the Veronica, and said nothing was being left undone in ,a npffort to find being'left undone in an effort to find the Union Company’s Waitemata was in the vicinity, and Avould exercise a vigilant search. Dr. Pomare (Minister in Charge of the Cook Islands) added that arrangements had been made for a boat to leave Samoa for Niue with supplies for the island.
LABOUR ORGANISATION. EFFORTS TOWARDS UNITY. , WELLINGTON, Nov. 9. At a conference called by the Alliance of Labour to-day to discuss a move efficient method of industrial organisation. attended by representatives of 21 national Labour organisations, representing about 85,000 workers. Mr. M. Avas appointed chairman. The conference is still proceeding, but it is reported that good progress Avas made in the direction ef securing unity in matters affecting Labour from a national point of view FIRE IN NEWSPAPER OFFICE. MARTON, This Day. A fire in the Advocate office last evening completely gutted portion of the premises, ami destroyed a largo quantity of commercial printing stock.
