The scheme outlined by Mr Hill and adopted is as follows: Opening' Day, Church Day: Church collections. Second Day: A boost to gex general subscriptions from., private individuals, firms or unions by organised canvass. Concert or entertainment in the evening, to include an appeal for public assistance and support. Third Day, Children's Day: Children's Fair or Sports; Bottle collection; Dance or .Entertain-, ment. Fourth Day, Country Day: I Stalls 'country produce.," jumble j stalls, weight guessing competi-i ( tion, the hen that laid 1000 eggs, i I monster butter pat, garden party 1 in Hospital Grounds, Alfresco concert, competitions, afternoon tea, music, etc. | Fifth Day, People's Day: A> Carnival Day, Sports. Floral fete. I Poster procession, Decorated veh- j icles, Band performance, Stalls, Copper Trail, Evening concert or | entertainment. j Day, Railway Worker's I Day : To be devoted to the energies of the railway workers of Taihape, by such means as they might suggest.
