CRICKET.
CIVIL SERVICE CLUB FORMED. A very successful meeting of civil servants was held, in the Railway. Social Hall yesterday, when it was decided to form a. cricket club, to be called the Civil Service Cricket Club, and to enter a team in'the .competition at Taihape. The following officers were elected: Patron, Mr. E, W. Smith, M.P.: presiments, Messrs. Bu.di and McNickle; vice-presidents, Messrs. P. Baird, W. Venn. A. Thompson, T. Burke, J. Dyer, J. Cairns, J. Galloway, J. Quirk, P. E. Wakem'an, W. Lavin, J. Thorap-
sou, H. «F. Boughton, A. L. Berry, W. J. White, D.' Broome, A. J. JODliu, J. Guinane, W. J. Munro and J. Currie; chairman of committee, Mr- S 3. Dunbar; secretary and treasurer, Mr. W. Bennett; club captain, Mr. W: Bennet; management committee, Messrs. D. Bray, W. Bentley, A. Bentley, J. Jenkins, N. Gwilliam, C. Hyland, S. Dtmbar and W. Bennett. It was decided that the club's colours be blue and white, and that the members-' fee be £1 Is, with 2s <jd fee for honorary members.
