, Under the settlement the miners will receive 2s a shift advance from the resumption of work to the Christmas holidays. The new scale, operating from January 3, will be a sliding scale. If the output to Christmas reaches the average output of the July-September quarter, the rise will be Is over the existing rates, with an additional sixpence out of every extra £288,000 profits arising from export. Wages shall be fixed every four weeks, being based on the results of the preceding four weeks.
