DEMPSEY AND CARPENTIER. FIXING THE MATCH. NEW YORK, Oct. 27. Jack Kearns (Dempsey's manager} stated that under the articles between. Carpentier and Dempsey, which win be signed to-day, the purse will be half-a-million, of which Dempsey is guaranteed 300,000d0l and Carpentier the remainder. The promoters, namely, Tex Bickard, C. B t Cochran, and! J. Brady, will post 100,000dol and the fighters each 50,000 dol as guarantees.

Rickard, Cochran and Brady Jhave! announced that the details of the Dempsey-Carpentier match have been I settled. Havana wyi be the scene of j the bout, the promoters having received a most flattering offer from Cuban capitalists. The signing of the articles awaits the arrival of the Cuban representative. Kearns has announced j that when the objectionable features of the agreement have been remover, j he will be willing to sign.
