DEMPSEY AND CARPENTIER. A MATCH ARRANGED. NEW YORK, Oct. 25. The New York Times states chat following conferences between Jack Kearns, manager for Jack Dempsey, M. Desehamps, manager for Georges Carpentier, Mr. C. B. Cochran, with, whom Carpentier signed a contract, and Tex Rickards, the fight promoter, a bout between Carpentier and Dempsey is virtually assured. It is confidently believed that articles will be signed before Carpentier leaves for France shortly. Details of the match- are not yet available.
BIG FIGHT VIRTUALLY ASSURED. NEW YORK, Oct. 25. Following conferences between Keams, Deschamps, Cochran and Richard, a bout between Carpentier and Dempsey is virtually assured. ARRANGEMENTS FOR MATCH

NEW YORK, Oct. 26.
The Sun states that Carpentier and Dempsey will fight for a guaranteed purse of approximately half a million dollars. The match will be staged either in the HJni'ted' iStjates, South America or Cuba, and will not bo less than ten nor more than fifteen rounds, and it will occur by February. It is expected that the match will 'be held at New York if the Boxing Commission approves.
