Distributing Co., Ltd # , report having Tfeld gMftusual fortnightly sale in their Mauon yards on Monday, 18th • inst., wtien there was a heavy yarding of cattle, comprising of 480 head and a good yarding of sheep, Buyers were 'ln attendance from Raetihi, Palmerston, Hunterville and Wanganui districts. Sheep sold on par with late rates, ,but cattle especially young steers an« 'empty cows showed a marked improvement, • We disposed of the whole yarding of cattle as follows: —Yearling Hereford steers ,£7 13/ to £S, do. heifers £5 6/, P.A. yearling steers £7 2/, S.H. yearling steers £5. £> If, £5 10/ to £5 12/, 18-month cross steers £8 15./, yearling S.H. heifers £5 1/, £5 7/6, £5 12/ to £5 35/, empty 2-year heifers £6 14/ to £7 5/, empty cows £7 15/ to £8 7/G, forward empty cows to £lO 17/, station cows in calf to Hereford buH: £8 10/. Sheep.—Fat ewes 29/6, empty ewes 23/6. m.s. hoggets to 27/, small do 19/6 to 21/. HUNTERVILLE STOCK SALE. The N.Z. Farmers' Co-Op.
