VENETIAN BALL.
The returned soldiers will hold a Venetian Ball, in aid of the Taihane Public Hospital on Thursday • next, , 28th inst., at the Town Hail. The ball will be a Venetian function an<i fancy dresses and masks are to be worn. Prizes wjll be given for the best fancy costumes, and the ball should be one of the most spectacular functions held here. Tickets are now On sale, and it is hoped that the public will assist by purchasing tickets, as ■the whole of the proceeds are / to be handed over for the benefit of the hospital.
