LONDON, Oct. 18
A Moscow* wireless claims that the Reds inflicted a severe defeat on Wrangejj's second army near Nikopol. The enemy retreated in disorder, the Reds securing enormous trophies. The Reds also claim that Wrangel's Smolensk and Alexareff infantry regiments were entirely destroyed, and that General Babinoff, commander of the Kuban Division, was killed. The Bolshevik armies also made continuous and fierce attacks on the CJkralnian fronts. Sanguinary fighting is in progress at the Bug bridgeheads, but thUte far the Ukrainians have repulsed the Reds.
