The Canadian Agricultural Department has issued a statement pointing out that the wool market is panicky owing to the re-entry of Australian wool into the open markets of the j world, the continued holding of W'ool j by American growers and the failure | of free selling -wool to materialise. CAR.INTHIAN PLEBISCITE. 1 , VIENNA, October 10. No withstanding the fact that a plebiscite is being taken to decide whether Carinthia shall remain Austrian or belong to Jugoslavia, Jugoslav troops are concentrating on the frontier. FRENCH CRISIS PASSED. PARIS, October 11. M. Marsel, Minister of Finance says that France has passed ’the financial crisis. New taxes will yield 320,000,000 sterling, and the estimated revenue is 800,000,000. which will be sufficient to cover the ordinary expenditure for the financial year.
