Showing that the old militaristic spirit is not dead in Germany, General von Seentt, eliief of the army command, in a farewell .address to the men of the heavy artillery and airship detachments, who have been disbanded, eulogised their achievements in the war, making- particular reference i.o the bombardment of the fortress of Paris- He concluded: The unforgettable performance:: of both branches of the .service strengthen the hope that we shall sec them once again awake.
